Crypton («we», «us», «our», tools.crypton.xyz) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Crypton browser extension collects, why we collect it, and how it is used or stored.
To provide its core functionality, the extension requires the following permissions and collects only the following data:
Website content
- The extension reads the page content (DOM) only on websites where you browse or search for crypto projects and tokens (e.g., DEXs, launchpads, exchanges, project listing pages, etc.).
- We analyze the page solely to detect relevant projects and display their information/cards. The full content of any page is never saved or transmitted.
User interactions within the extension
- Clicks on the extension’s own interface elements («Add to favorites», «Hide project», search inside the extension, etc.)
- Which projects you viewed or added to favorites
These are used exclusively to power the favorites list, search history, and in-extension recommendations.
We do NOT collect and do NOT request:
- Your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any other personally identifiable information
- Payment or credit card details
- Login credentials or passwords
- Precise geolocation
- Full browsing history
- Personal messages, emails, or chats
- Health, financial, or any other sensitive personal data
- To display project information on supported websites
- To maintain your favorites and project search history
- To generate recommendations inside the extension
- To collect fully anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., number of “Add to favorites” clicks, most common site categories) solely for product improvement
- All collected data (favorites, search history, settings) is stored locally in your browser using browser.storage.local
- No data about visited pages, viewed projects, or your actions is currently sent to our servers or any third parties
- The only remote communication (if any) is completely anonymous telemetry: fact of installation, extension version, and aggregated feature usage counters (no URLs, no user identifiers). We use a self-hosted, privacy-first analytics instance.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising/behavioral tracking services
- We do not share any data with advertising networks or data brokers
- We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade user data with third parties
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data stored locally in your browser. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and you use the extension at your own risk.
The extension is not intended for users under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please discontinue use immediately.
Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and publishing the new version at https://tools.crypton.xyz/privacy-extension. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
